Software

Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.

Knowledge of Ajera Complete is a plus.

The CAD Designer prepares construction plans in the civil engineering field. They will assist the design engineers or surveyors in the production of construction plans or stake out files for projects such as airports, bridges, channels, dams, railroads, and roadways.

The CAD Designer will have the following duties:

  • Serves as a technical specialist in the application of civil engineering design services including municipal, County and ODOT roadway, commercial site development, and stormwater modeling and design projects

  • Creates, updates and modifies plans, and performs manual drafting.

  • Completes project responsibilities within scope, budget and schedule.

  • Prepares engineering drawings that detail plans and specifications.

  • Draws plans, diagrams, and profiles, using cross-sections and surveys, to represent elevations, topographical contours, subsurface formations and structures.

  • Creates drawings from written and verbal specifications. Creates and revises plans. Creates CAD drawings for engineering projects.

  • Maintains all revisions of project drawings.

  • Handles complex designing for street, sewer, water, and drainage improvements and drafting assignments.

  • Reviews drawings for completeness and accuracy.

  • Works with Engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and design documentation.

  • Mentors junior staff and assists in the training of new employees in standard practices and procedures.

  • Completes general fieldwork as necessary to assess site conditions and determine survey requirements for new projects, as well as construction inspection.

  • Adheres to company policies and client standards to ensure compliance with applicable policies and performance measures.

  • Displays effective time management.

  • Completes all tasks with minimal supervision.

Candidate must possess an Oklahoma Driver’s License and have reliable transportation to and from work. Out of town work for short periods of time may be required for the position.

Must be willing to relocate to Tulsa, Oklahoma.
